“Amazing house! Has all you need!” We stayed here as a last minute long weekend break with our young children and it was just brilliant. Lots to do in the local area and the house has a hot tub which is great to relax after busy days out with the family! Really lovely owners nothing was too much trouble! Even when we arrived late due to car travel sickness they waited till we arrived! 5 * service and will be booking again :)

Laura has been extremely helpful from providing information prior to, and during booking. Laura and Andy were both fantastic and we knew that we could contact them with any problems if they arose during our stay. The house was excellent with so much space. There were 6 adults, 4 children and a dog in our group and we all had plenty of room. The extra seating in the living room is fantastic. We loved the hot tub and the boys really enjoyed the games room and the garden, as did my Sisters dog! Plenty of space for ball games and running races! The house is in an ideal location for amenities in Kidwelly, aswell as exploring the local area. A few minutes walk and you have a local Spar shop. A short drive into Kidwelly and you have a Co-op. We found a lovely Chinese take away in Kidwelly and this was only about 10 minutes walk from the house. Being able to see the castle from the house was great, and we all enjoyed visiting it. We drove a short distance to Pembrey Country Park 3 days of our stay. There is so much to do here, and for just £5 entry to the Park for the day it was great value. There is a dog friendly area further along the beach so suits everyones needs. We had plenty of space to enjoy the beach, sea and views. Kidwelly is a really good base for exploring the local area. There were so many things we could have done that we didn't have enough time! We came home yesterday and have just re-booked to return to Dyffryn House next year. I don't think any of our party have felt so relaxed on a break before. It really was home from home. Nothing was too much trouble for Laura and Andy. Thank you to you both.

From beginning to end our holiday was simply amazing. We booked the house very last minute at a great price, communication with the owners was fast, easy and straightforward. We were a large family with many children and the house suited our needs perfectly. The kids loved the massive secure garden, adults loved the games room as well as playing ball games in garden and everyone loved hot tub (shame we didnt use it more). We complained about freezer not working and within the day had a brand new fridge/freezer. We loved the beaches, beautiful clean sand and stunning views. We went to Ferryside Beach which is closest, with free parking on beach, very quiet and perfect for us. Then we went to Pembrey Country Park, small charge to enter, but lots to do, including horse riding, tobogganing, playground as well as another glorious beach with safe swimming. We drove all the way to Tenby, approx 1 hour, and went speed-boating, probably the highlight of our holiday. We enjoyed the local area too. Neighbors are very friendly, small park for kids nearby was great, the spar shop on the corner was useful and co-op shop is great for more variety. There's a good selection of DVDs, the wifi was a great bonus, plenty of seating for everyone, and all in all we had a wonderful holiday. Thanks Laura and Andy, we hope to see you again!

Wow! We loved this house and will be back. Booked a last minute break and were not disappointed. Owners went out of their way to meet us late on the Friday night and showed us how everything worked and how to use the Hot Tub safely -it was ready, hot, and waiting for us which was amazing after a long drive. We now all want one at home, a massive plus throughout the weekend and literally spent hours in it. The gardens were big and well looked after and private, which was nice for hot tub use. Plenty of parking space - we had 5 cars, which easily fitted on the drive. The house was immaculate, spacious and had everything we needed to be totally comfortable, the heating was on when we arrived and it was very cosy. We were a bit concerned about the appliances after reading a review saying the dishwasher and fridge were temperamental - but we had no issues and there are actually 3 fridges, one under unit in the kitchen (built in), one small and one tall fridge/freezer in the utility room and all worked fine. The showers worked fine for our group. There is an ancient castle directly opposite and we walked round it which was lovely and took about 40 minutes. We didn't have children in our group this time but noticed a little park over the road which would be ideal for those with children. The Masons Arms pub, literally 1 minute walk away, was fun on the Saturday night, cocktails and games of pool amused all! We had a great time and were well looked after and thought the house was awesome all round. The only down point was there was no broadband there when we stayed, but the owners said they were having it put in as they keep getting asked for it so that will be great next time we visit. A final point to mention was that we received our housekeeping deposit back in full within 7 days - with an offer of FREE hot tub use if we make another booking within 3 months which we definitely intend to do.

We had an amazing holiday in this lovely house. There was plenty of space for our extended family gathering. All the rooms are very generous sizes with good quality, stylish furnishings. The garden is very large - unusual for a house in a village location. We made good use of this, as well as the hot tub which provided some lovely relaxing times - a perfect, soothing end to a days walking and sight seeing. Laura and Andy are incredibly friendly and helpful, while at the same time allowing you the privacy to enjoy your holiday without intrusion. They provided some excellent advice prior to the holiday. One of the best tips was to arrange a Tesco shopping delivery on the day we arrived. I would definitely recommend doing this. We were an extended family of adults, but it was still clear that Laura and Andy go out of their way to make the house child friendly. We would have been very happy with these facilities when our children were younger. The local area is fantastic, with everything you could need. The Spar shop is a minutes walk away and is very well stocked and quite large, with a larger Co-Op just a few minutes drive away. The Masons Arms is even nearer and we found this pub to be extremely welcoming. The landlord and landlady are lovely and provide a nice, traditional pub atmosphere. The local draught stout went down very well with our party, as well as the small pool room which we had to ourselves most of the time. We made good use of the Pembrey Country Park pass. This beach is stunning and the forest walks are lovely. There's lots to do for all interests and ages here. Kidwelly Castle is a few minutes walk away and well worth a visit. We also visited places further afield between our party, including the Gower Coast (a must see, especially Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili & Worms Head), the WWT at Llanelli, The National Botanic Gardens (wonderful), Aberglasney Gardens, Brechfa Forest Park, Carreg Cennan Castle (you must hire a torch and explore the underground cave!) and also Tenby, which was lovely. Overall we have all had a fantastic holiday, including our dog. The whole area is very dog friendly, and in fact we found the people in general to be some of the friendliest we have come across in the UK. I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday house and the area to anyone. Thanks again Laura and Andy.

As soon as we arrived at the cottage I fell in love with it. Its set in a quiet village with a shop and brilliant pub within walking distance. We met the owners, Laura and Andy at the cottage. They were very friendly, showing us around and telling us how things worked. There was plenty of room for our group (10 adults and 4 children). The children loved playing in the garden, whilst the adults loved playing in the hot tub. We had a fantastic holiday. The good house keeping money was returned quickly without me even asking for it. Thank you Laura and Andy.
