Our retreats will serve anyone looking to retreat for health issues, at one of life's crossroads, to rest and restore away from the demands of everyday life or perhaps for some personal development.
You matter, you are important, you have one life - and our intention is that these retreats are one small step towards helping everyone who comes to reduce stress, gain perspective and leave feeling refreshed, connected and empowered.

The program offers a unique opportunity to experience a deep relaxation, learn about and practise meditation and rest, enjoy gentle Hatha yoga, walk in nature, connect with your true values in the group session on My Map/ Your Map and be nourished and cleansed with delicious home made organic meals throughout your stay in our stunning country house set in its own private grounds.
Ideal for Women in their 40's plus (and all the hormones that go with that!) who feel like they never stop, or who are at a crossroads in life, have relationship issues, feel taken for granted or have forgotten who they really are or who just need some time out to reflect, reconnect and relax. This retreat experience will give you energy, clarity, knowledge and confidence when you return home and the tools to keep up what you have learnt.
Mid week 3rd November for 4 days and 3 nights - £525 (Dyffryn House)
- Accommodation in twin rooms (if you would like a kingsize room please email for extra charge)
- Gentle Hatha Yoga and meditation sessions
- Breakfast, lunch and evening meal for each full day, lunch and evening meal on day of arrival and breakfast on departure day. Food is vegetarian, all home made, organic where possible and locally sourced where possible. Drinks and snacks also included.
- Retreat group sessions are all included, at least one per day and these may vary (email me for specific session information.)
- Use of hot tub (and sauna for The Croft retreats)
- Guided Beach and country walks
- A full schedule for those who want it and reflection/ rest time for those that want to use the time to totally relax.
- Gratitude jars - a novel idea that really does inspire positive thinking and self worth.
Additional treatments are available, these are bookable in advance and payable at the time of treatment. Treatments include massage, reiki, reflexology, homeopathy, Alexander technique and a range of beauty treatments. Please enquire for more information and pricing.
I will also be running several one day retreats for £99 and we are the planning stage for a Mother/ Daughter retreat designed for improving mother / daughter relationships. This will be suitable for mums and daughter/s to come together or come solo to gain deeper understanding of mother and daughter dynamic and how to improve communication and learn love and accept more fully - if interested please email me Laura@wheretoinwales.co.uk for more information and specifying whether mid week or weekend would be best for you.

About our retreats
We are passionate about what we offer on our retreats and each one is slightly different. The intention is that everyone who comes will feel warmly welcomed, have some real time out to relax, rebalance, feel peaceful, de stress and learn a little whilst meeting like minded people.
Meditation and true rest along with the breathing exercises will strengthen your immune system, calm your nervous system and help your wellbeing. You will become more aware of the true wonderful you, and this, in turn, will bring a sense of self-love and gratitude that in your busy lives is often neglected. This awareness and reconnection will help leave self-doubt and insecurities behind as you move forward with your life.
Inner confidence will start to blossom as we sow these seeds with you, and you begin to recognize the true good and kindness in your heart. You will take away from the retreat a sense of happiness in yourself, contentment and confidence recognized and nurtured allowing your future path to open up, and relationships to flourish.
Mind Body and Soul Women's Retreats also offer you some helpful tools and signposts to help you stay focused on the things you have learned and those that have helped you.
Having time to carefully consider what truly makes your heart sing and doing more of those things is something you can gift to yourself and then use in your everyday life to restore balance and peace.
Taking time out from the busy chatter and demands of everyday modern life, opening your heart and mind to new ideas and having new experiences with other wonderful women may be the exact experience you need to help guide you on your true path being your best you.
-Here is what is in store for the retreats in March and June 2020:
*A very warm welcome to everyone to put everyone at ease and get to know each other
*The retreat includes a two-hour gentle Hatha yoga and meditation session which is concluded with a deeply relaxing asana, alignment and breath work - led by Lorna Yogi Bear this is suitable for all abilities even if you have never done yoga before. This is a wonderful experience with attendees writing to tell us how much it relaxed and restored them fully.
*Group session on 'My Map/Your Map', a real insight into beliefs, values, and identity coupled with how you communicate and make yourselves 'heard'. This session really helps identify all the good in every unique individual, helps you value yourselves and aids better communication and confidence for anyone struggling with anxiety. Very informal and fun but uniquely beneficial for those joining in. Touches on mindfulness and intention setting/gratitude and can help relieve anxiety and stress. Learning during the retreat to hit the 'Pause' will be invaluable when you return to your everyday life challenges and you realise you can manage challenges more positively and calmly.
*A talk/discussion on rest and the Art of Rest - what does “rest” really mean and how can it help you? You may be surprised at what you learn. Curious? Fab, come and join in.
*A guided beach Walk in stunning Ferryside listening mindfully to the sounds the gulls and smelling the fresh salty air, listening to the roar of the waves and feeling the wind in your hair, stress dissolving and leaving you feeling at peace and happy to be alive in this moment. Walking barefoot in the sand and connecting to Mother Nature is blissful and awakens your soul
*We have planned a stunning country walk to get out in green nature, be invigorated by the elements and blow away the cobwebs, see the snowdrops and daffodils in full bloom, spot birds and creatures with interest and build an appetite for the yummy food provided all weekend.
*We invite you to evening socialization and debate/chats for those who want to, or quiet reflection time in your comfy, clean and lovely room if you prefer - it’s all your choice as this is time for YOU.
*Use of private hot tub included for anytime.
*All delicious homemade organic and locally sourced (where possible) meals made in house
*Hatha yoga, guided meditation, breathwork, pranayama techniques, guided chakra cleanse

*10:30 Excursion to nearby Ferryside where the main yoga and mediation session is held - Led by the amazing Anavrin whose intention is to help you discover a healthier, happier you using yoga, asana, alignment and breath work.

*Guided beach walk (tide permitting, or cliff walk if not)
*13:00 Lunch - homemade and organic vegetarian food
*After lunch rest and relax and enjoy the peaceful house and grounds
*Time for pre-booked treatments at the house or quiet and mindful reflection
*Talk on the Art of Rest for those interested - very interesting learning a little about what rest actually is to you and how doing more of it can really help physical and mental health
*19:00 Dinner - Home-cooked organic and delicious!
*Evening socializing or quiet time - there is also use of the hot tub
*Pre-breakfast walk and meditation for those who fancy it
*07:30 - 09:30 Breakfast
*Regroup, relax and read, reflect, or socialize - variety of tea, coffee, drinks available at all times
*Walk, hot tub, journal, or do some garden yoga/mediation or take 121 chat with Laura or Em before.
*Free lifts to and from Kidwelly train station (by arrangement)
It is very informal and warm, and there is no pressure to join in anything you are not comfortable with - you can just be present and not share anything if you so wish. All that's needed is your presence.
Providing healthy, delicious food is part of nurturing you during your stay. Recipes can be provided for all meals which are homemade in house.
If you want to book a room by yourself there is a supplement of £200 so please message me about this before booking.
Use of the hot tub is included for evening relaxation.
There are optional extras (bookable directly with me in advance) where practitioners come to the house and offer:

The real focus will be on the things that matter in life; health, happiness, peace, relaxation, friendships, gratitude, nature and mindful choices, with some fun along the way. We hope the retreat can boost self esteem and confidence by instilling a sense of self awareness and choice, connect you more deeply to your true self, help you enjoy being in the now. We know the retreat will definitely be an opportunity to fully relax!

I am a hardworking and focussed person who loves life, my children, my husband and my dogs! I co manage 3 business with my husband and know what's its like to feel over loaded and like life is passing by in a whirlwind without really taking time to stop and notice the choices being made. My true intention is to make these retreats welcoming, relaxing, positive, life enhancing experiences available for lots of women who need to 'pause' and take a breath.
I do the catering for the retreats myself as I love to cook really nourishing delicious food and aim to inspire you about making good food choices to make you feel good.
2019 was a big year for me as I took the opportunity to take time out (for the first time ever!) to really focus on the things that I am passionate about and make big life changes. Part of that involved meeting some amazing people, opening my mind, trying new things, and learning a lot more about holistic approaches and the importance of mindfulness, meditation, rest and relaxation for physical and mental well being.
I discovered the peacefulness that yoga and mediation can bring, focussed on really healthy organic food and cooking to nurture, spent more time noticing things rather than rushing and spent more time out in nature. I read loads about expanding my mind and making the right choices in this one life that we have and feel what I learnt and am continuing to learn is that we are on a journey in this life and we can choose the path we take and the mindset that we take with us.
Sharing what I had learnt with other woman, and bringing together the people who had had such a great impact on me last year to help me do this gave rise to the idea of running these retreats. Emma, Ruth and Jo are my go to team and they have a huge positive impact on each and every one! All women deserve and need to take some precious time for themselves. Women often care for everyone except themselves - I want to be part of changing this and offer to show you a different, more peaceful, mindful, fulfilled path where your physical and mental health are highly valued and your essence has a chance to really shine.
I am so grateful to have the resource to put on these retreats and very excited to meet all the women that come along and ' join our tribe'. You are important, you matter, you have one wonderful life and these retreats could be a little seed of change which allow you to really flourish. So, come as a single, as friends, sisters or mum and daughter and experience some wonderful time out with like minded people.

Ruth has travelled extensively from Bali, to Thailand and India and is a truly wonderful and inspirational Yoga teacher and coach. Her skills are yoga, mediation, coaching, psycho spiritual work, and writing. In 2014 Ruth moved to the Gower Peninsula and has been working with both groups and individuals running weekend and day retreats teaching yoga and leading Kirtan, writing and sharing poems, offering re birthing (breath work) sessions. Ruth feels that her life purpose is to help others on the journey of transformation and self reclamation ' to hear the voice of their own heart and awaken their soul'
